The water bottle method of taking a homeopathic remedy and plussing is an easy and economical way to repeat a remedy. As an example I had a case of a man a few years ago about to undergo eye surgery and I suggested he take arnica to relieve the pain during recovery. By taking the arnica in the water bottle he was able to take it easily and when he needed it and only using a few granules over the next few weeks. Unlike the recovery from the same surgery on the other eye the year before, he did not need to take any pain medication other than the arnica remedy. This method can also be good when using cell salts, which are often repeated daily for a month or more.
Buy a plastic spring water bottle from the store, the smaller ones for easier handling.
1. Pour out a small amount of the water to ensure some air space on top.
2. Put in 2-3 granules of your chosen remedy or 1-3 drop if you have the liquid remedy. You can put in more remedies when using the bottle for a longer time, although I have used fewer granules and it was fine.
3. Hit the bottle hard of the bottle on your palm ten times to charge the remedy into the water. (this is known as succussion or plussing) Take a sip as your dose. The dose is not the quantity, but the quality of the water with the remedy is, so one small sip under the tongue for 10 seconds or so counts as a dose.
4. For the next dose, repeat #3. The repetition of the succussion with each new dose slightly changes the potency and can increase the effectiveness when repeating the same remedy. Only redose as needed. Homeopathic remedies are different than herbs or medicines that have recommended posology! The basic rule to follow is to only redose if and when the same symptoms return that were improved by the first dose.
This method works great to extend a remedy if you need to repeat it, however the bottle only lasts about 2 weeks, then you need to pour out the water and start again with new granules or liquid drops. You want to throw out the bottle too once you are done since it will stay charged with the remedy. I know using plastic is not good for the planet and they are not always able to be recycled, however as you can see, using glass bottles and reusing them might cause unintentional dosing. It is likely that the high heat of a dishwasher or strong odours will eliminate the charge left in a bottle however so with some extra care using glass or stainless reusable bottles is also possible.
If the bottle is reaching 1/4 full, just add more water and bang the bottle on the hand to charge the new water with the energetic charge of the remedy.
Always clearly label the bottle too!! So you don't dose others accidentally.
